Organisations that sign the Statement are committed to upholding the following principles.
Becoming a signatory involves to engage to key principles which aim at enhancing the contribution of space to the sustainable development of society while considering and reducing the potential impacts on the environment and society. Therefore, signatories pledge to foster socially and environmentally responsible management of all activities, and work collaboratively to progress towards the principles and values outlined in the Statement. Cooperation among European space actors is encouraged, with an emphasis on leveraging available resources and expertise while avoiding duplication of efforts.

Eligibility criteria
The inclusivity of the Statement is reflected in its eligibility criteria, welcoming a diverse range of space sector stakeholders who meet the first criteria, which is mandatory, and one or more of the following conditions:

Core business connected to space products, services, or applications (mandatory)

Publicly stated engagement on corporate social responsibility.

Adoption of a clear environmental policy with an associated roadmap and certified targets.

Presence of a dedicated ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) page on the company's website.

Publication of an extra financial report in accordance with national laws.
To further ensure a commitment to the objectives of the Statement, potential signatories must confirm their readiness to adopt its principles and values. This involves providing a motivation letter expressing their intent, outlining how they would contribute to ongoing working groups or propose topics for future discussions. Signatories commit to participate to the working groups in the frame of the Statement and to attend regular meetings to collectively drive progress for a responsible space sector.
